First Baptist Church to host Vacation Bible School this week with the theme "Tejas Trail Adventures"

First Baptist Church saddles up for Vacation Bible School, June 4 through the 7, from 6-8 p.m. The first three nights will be held at First Baptist Church, (213 E. 3rd) beginning each evening in the church sanctuary for a round-up. Then they will travel along the Tejas Trail to snacks, recreation, crafts and Bible stories.
Vacation Bible School will involve Texas themed snack foods and crafts that will go with each lesson. Recreation will include Texas games and even a few farm animals visiting the church parking lot each night. The Bible stories are another part with Pastor, Phillip Thomas, leading the kids in understanding what true friendship is.
VBS is for kids from the age of two years to fourth grade. You can sign up on the church's website at www.fbcsweetwater.org or you can sign up at the door each night. You can also register those little doggies by filling out a registration form that can be picked up at the Sweetwater Reporter front office. The forms can be dropped off in the church office, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The last night of VBS will be Family Night at the City Pool from 6-8 p.m. Hot dogs will be served with all the goodies.
