Finn, Hoover receive all-BC hoop honors

Sweetwater’s Alicia Finn and Kaleb Hoover have received all-Big Country basketball recognition by the Abilene Reporter-News for Classes 3A through 5A.
Hoover, a 6-1 sophomore forward who led the Mustangs in scoring and rebounding this season, was named to the Class 3A-5A boys second team and was also chosen as the Newcomer of the Year. He burst on the scene in his first year on the Mustang varsity, averaging 16.6 points, 7.4 rebounds and two steals per game. Hoover was also named last month as the District 5-3A newcomer of the year.
Finn, a 6-0 senior, was honored for the second year in a row. She averaged 12 points and eight rebounds per game this season for the Lady Mustangs as she was named to the Class 3A-5A girls second team. In addi-tion, Finn was on the 5-3A girls all-district first team.
