Flu vaccine administered daily at health department

The Sweetwater-Nolan County Health Department is administering the flu vaccine daily from 8-11:30 a.m. and 1-4:30 p.m.

Alice Velez from the Diabetic Outreach Program at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital will be at the Sweetwater-Nolan County Health Department on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until noon to check blood glucose and answer any questions one may have regarding diabetes. Pamphlets and materials will be available.
The Sweetwater-Nolan County Health Department is administering the flu vaccine daily from 8-11:30 a.m. and 1-4:30 p.m. The cost is $6 for children (six months to 18 years), who are eligible for VFC. Medicaid and CHIPS are accepted.  The cost is $20 for adults. Medicare Part B is accepted. Call 235-5463 for more information.
The health department will be closed on Monday, Jan. 21, to observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Family Planning services are available through several funding sources. Services include pap smears, breast exams, pregnancy testing, methods of birth control and screening and testing for sexually transmitted diseases. For an appointment call 235-2869.
