Four SW LL teams to resume play today

A Mustang Baseball Camp is also scheduled for June 13-16.

Four Little League teams from Sweetwater are scheduled to resume play with second-round games today at their respective District 5 tournaments that are being held in Abilene.
The Senior League (ages 15-16) Blue Jays will face Abilene South’s Rangers in a semifinal game at 8 p.m. at Abilene South’s field, with the winner playing for the Senior League championship at 7 p.m. Friday. In the Major League (ages 11-12), two games involving local teams are on tap as the Diamondbacks will play Abilene Northern’s A’s at 6 p.m. at Abilene Northern and the Reds will play the Dixie Cubs at 8 p.m. at the Abilene Key City field.
In the Minor League (ages 9-10), the Reds will play the Abilene Southern Red Raiders at 6 p.m. today at Abilene Dixie. The Major and Minor League tournaments are scheduled to wrap up Monday, June 13.

Mustang Baseball Camp June 13-16
A Mustang Baseball Camp will be held Monday through Thursday, June 13-16, at the high school baseball field. A session for students entering grades 1-5 will be from 9-10:15 a.m. while a second session for students entering grades 6-9 will be from 10:30 to noon. The camp will emphasize working on fundamentals, hitting, defense and pitching.
