"Super Chaos" was held at 4th and Elm Church of Christ on Wednesday night, August 8, 2012 on the church campus. Families of children attending the weekly summer children's program at the church, "Chaos", were invited to take part in the special event that included a bounce house, a meal and games for everyone.
"Chaos" started in June and has been held each Wednesday night this summer at 4th and Elm Church of Christ for elementary students, offering them a time of Bible stories, puppets, crafts and snacks. The program will wrap up on August 29.
In its second year, the children's ministry took advantage of the opportunity to teach children about Jesus through two themes--the person Christ needs and Jesus as the sacrifice and Savior.
"Chaos" is just one part of the church's children's ministry called "ENERGY", an acronym for "Educating Nurturing Equipping to Raise Godly Youth". Children's classes for babies through 5th graders also take place every Sunday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with regular Wednesday night classes starting at 7 p.m. during the school year.
