The County-City Library is hosting computer classes that can help with computers skills and help upgrading job hunting or work skills.
Experienced technology trainers from the Texas State Library's Technology Expertise, Access and Learning Project (TEAL) are providing the following two-hour training sessions at the library free of charge:
• Computer Basics: Monday, Feb. 4, from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
• Internet Basics: Monday, Feb. 4 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
• Email: Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 10 a.m. to noon.
• Microsoft Word: Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 2-4 p.m.
Classes are designed to make beginners comfortable, so do not hesitate to ask the librarian or library staff for details and reserve a spot today. As interest has grown for computer classes, a waiting list has developed. Each class has a 15-person limit, but some spots are still open.
All of the necessary tools for the class will be provided on-site. The classes can be taken individually, or a person can sign up for additional sessions.
The County-City Library is located at 206 Elm Street and one can learn more about classes by calling the library at 235-4978 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
