F.W. “Johnny” Price

A graveside service for F.W. "Johnny" Price, 85, of San Antonio, will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Loraine Cemetery with Rev. Jason Shuttlesworth officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Price died Monday, March 4, 2011, in San Antonio.
He was born Aug. 18, 1925, in Scurry County, Texas. He married Helen Doris Hill on May 3, 1947, in Breckenridge, Texas. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sweetwater. He lived in Sweetwater since 1948, and in the surrounding community since 1925. He was the Allstate Insurance Company agent for many years. He was a member of the U.S. Navy and a veteran of WWII, serving with the Seabees.
Survivors include his son, John R. Price and wife Ninfa of Del Rio; granddaughter, Jennifer Christine Tuten and husband Rick of Lockhart; grandson, James Calvin Price of Texas Tech University in Lubbock; sister, Bessie Ann Vaugh of Loraine; two great-grandchildren, Sabrin Tuten and Ariana Tuten, both of Lockhart; two nephews, Mike Keller and wife Rhonda of Sweetwater and John Dee Hall and wife Debi of Lubbock; and one niece, Donna Springer and husband J.T. of Stanton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Doris Price on Oct. 1, 2006; three brothers, Bobby Price, James Roy Price and Raymond Price; and two sisters, Doris Hall and Rachael Singleton.
