Gerald F. Scott

Gerald F. Scott of Littleton, Colo. passed away Aug. 19, 2011 at home. He was 85 years old. Mr.
Scott was born Aug. 19, 1926, in Roscoe and moved to Sweetwater at a very early age. He graduated from Sweetwater High School and Texas Tech University with a BS in Civil Engineering. He was a Registered Professional Engineer in both the states of Colorado and Texas until his retirement. He served in the Army during World War II and was a life member in the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He retired from the Martin Marietta Corp. in 1990 after 30 years of service. On Jan. 30, 1954, he married Rosemary Sprunck in Dallas, Texas. Rosemary passed away in 2008.
He is survived by his children, Stephen W. (Ann) of Crystal Lake, IL and daughters Ginger (Steve) Hildred, Nancy Scott, Janet (John) Fox and Gail (Dave) Epperson; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011. Funeral service will be on Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at 10 a.m. both at Drinkwine Family Mortuary, 999 West Littleton Boulevard, Littleton, Colorado, 80120. Interment with Military honors will follow at Littleton Cemetery.
