Goodfellows gear up for distribution

Members of the Sweetwater Fire Department, Jarrett Knowles, Richard Acuña and Nick Shaw are shown boxing up groceries for Sweetwater Goodfellows that will be distributed to needy families this Friday, Dec. 9, 2011. Last year Sweetwater Goodfellows helped more than 907 individual in Nolan County. Please help the Goodfellows make this year even better. If you would like to make a donation to the Sweetwater Goodfellows, send it to P.O. Box 1148 Sweetwater, TX 79556. Sweetwater Goodfellows boxes for the food and toys can also be found around town at the following businesses and schools: KXOX, First Financial Bank, Nolan County Courthouse, Higginbotham (Radio Shack), Sweetwater TA, Sweetwater Reporter, Oak Street Salon, SLJ Embroidery & Gifts, Texas State Technical College and all schools until Wednesday, Dec. 7. Distribution of the toys and food on Wednesday, Dec. 9. A Christmas party with Santa will follow distribution for the children from 3:45-4:45 p.m. Goodfellows set up will be from 5-8 p.m. each day, Dec. 6-8, at Lamar Street Baptist Church.
