Grand Jury indicts 11

A Nolan County Grand Jury indicted 11 people this week. Two of those indictments were sealed. The following cases were true-billed:
Kenneth Ray Acorn, Jr. was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, namely cocaine, a second degree felony. Court documents state that Acorn knowingly possessed more than four grams, but less than 200 grams of the controlled substance on May 22, 2012. His bond was set at $15,000.
David Wayne Suddock was indicted for evading arrest with a vehicle, a third degree felony, enhanced to a first degree felony with two prior convictions. Court documents state that Suddock knowingly fled from a police officer who was attempting to arrest him on Oct. 23, 2012. His bond was set at $25,000. Enhancements include a conviction of failure to stop and render aid and a conviction for driving while intoxicated.
Sabino Delgado was indicted for driving while intoxicated, a third degree felony. Court documents state that Delgado was driving while intoxicated on Sept. 15, 2012. He was convicted of driving while intoxicated three other times, including on March 26, 2002 in the 32nd Judicial District Court in Nolan County, on April 29, 1996 in the 259th District Court in Jones County and on March 15, 1993 in the County Court of Dawson County. His bond was set at $7,500.
Victor George Fisher was indicted for driving while intoxicated, a third degree felony. Court documents state that Fisher was driving while intoxicated on Aug. 12, 2012. He was convicted of driving while intoxicated three other times, including on Aug. 26, 2003, in the 32nd Judicial District Court in Nolan County, on Nov. 18, 1998 in the County Court of Mitchell County and on Sept. 10, 1996 in the Nolan County Court at Law. His bond was set at $7,500.
Toni Lea Penkert was indicted for driving while intoxicated, a third degree felony. Court documents state that Penkert was driving while intoxicated on Sept. 15, 2012. She was convicted of driving while intoxicated two other times, including on July 14, 2006, in the Lubbock County Court at Law and on May 3, 2004, in the Lubbock County Court at Law. Her bond was set at $5,000.
Pedro Monroy was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, namely cocaine, a state jail felony. Court documents state that Monroy knowingly possessed less than one gram of the controlled substance on June 2, 2012. His bond was set at $5,000.
James Taylor Williams was indicted for forgery, a state jail felony. Court documents state that Williams altered his writing on a check. His bond was set at $5,000.
Colton Todd Ward was indicted for evading arrest with a vehicle, a third degree felony. Court documents state that Ward knowingly fled from a police officer who was attempting to arrest him on Nov. 4, 2012. His bond was set at $7,500.
Daniel Ray Jones was indicted for theft over $1,500, a state jail felony. Court documents state that Jones took a Payne 3.5 tone heat pump, of the value of $1,500 or more, but less than $20,000, without the consent of the owner on Oct. 16, 2012. His bond was set at $5,000.
