Grand Jury indicts 35

Isaiah Zachary Gongora

A Nolan County Grand Jury indicted 35 people this month. Twenty-seven of those indictments were sealed. The following cases were true-billed:
Isaiah Zachary Gongora was indicted for aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first degree felony, for an offense that occurred in November 2012. The victim was younger than 14 years of age at the time of the crime. His bond was set at $25,000.
Juan Martin Jaramillo was indicted for sex offenders duty to register life/annually, a third degree felony enhanced to a first degree felony with two prior convictions, one for failure to register as a sex offender and one for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $25,000.
Robert Peter Cardoza was indicted for family violence assault/impede breath/circulation, a third degree felony. Cardoza caused bodily injury to a member of his family by applying pressure to the victim's throat in February 2014. His bond was set at $10,000.
Dana Taylor Owens was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine, in an amount of less than one gram in May 2013. The offense was classified as a state jail felony and her bond was set at $7,500.
Leonard Lawhon was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine, in an amount of less than one gram in April 2013. The offense was classified as a state jail felony and his bond was set at $7,500.
Tonisha Rachea Randle was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine, in an amount of less than one gram in June 2013. The offense was classified as a state jail felony and her bond was set at $7,500.
Chasiti Leigh Cutchall was indicted for possession of marijuana in the amount of five pounds or less, but more than four ounces in February 2014. The offense was classified as a state jail felony and her bond was set at $7,500.
Nathaniel Thomas Tibbs was indicted for possession of marijuana in the amount of five pounds or less, but more than four ounces in February 2014. The offense was classified as a state jail felony and his bond was set at $7,500.
Joe John Vera was indicted for driving while intoxicated, a third degree felony. The offense occurred in February 2014. Court documents state that Vera had been convicted of the same offense on Oct. 2, 2004 in the 32nd District Court of Nolan County and on Oct. 15, 2003, in the 132nd District Court of Scurry County. His bond was set at $5,000.
