Funeral services for Gretta Lynn Smallwood, 65, of Sweetwater will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Phillip Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, at McCoy Funeral Home.
Smallwood died Monday, Feb. 25, at Hendrick Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 25, 1947, in Carlsbad, N.M. She married Jessie N. Smallwood on April 1, 1966, in Carlsbad, N.M. Gretta was a graduate of Carlsbad Senior High School in 1965. She loved to ride horses.
Survivors include her husband, Jessie Smallwood of Sweetwater; son, Jessi Dean Smallwood and wife Ray Lynn of Brenham; daughter, Shellie Shellean Smallwood Sutton and husband Robert of Sweetwater; grandchildren, Jessie Ray Smallwood and wife Chandra of Saginaw, Brook Sutton of Sweetwater, Paige Sutton of Sweetwater and Meagen Sutton of Corpus Christi; great-grandbaby Jessie James Smallwood of Saginaw; and brother, Van L. Chadwich of Cleburne.
Pallbearers will be Randy Ritter, Ken Hansohm, Raymond McDonald, Roy Sanders, Tony Brown and Blake Stevens.
