Growth continues in Sweetwater: Love’s Truck Stop begins construction

Construction at incoming Love's Truck Stop in Sweetwater

Construction began on Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, for the new Love's Truck Stop in Sweetwater.
Expected completion is around the end of February 2013. The truck stop will also house an Arby's restaurant.
The land is 53.14 acres and is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Hopkins Road and Interstate 20.

Sorry for you that you only see this as a negative. For the person who's out of work maybe a minimum wage job looks hopeful. There's also the benefit of more sales tax revenue for the city,& more property tax revenue for the city, county, schools and hospital which benefits us all. Maybe the traffic that will be pulled off the interstate will frequent other business at the I20/Hopkins road intersection. I think this is a good thing but then I'm partial to Arby's.

Yes it is sweet that there will be more jobs to be had. Yes some will be minimum wage and part time jobs. The sad part is that finding qualified aplicants to fill them will be difficult.
