Grss fire in Nolan County

Approximately 40 acres burned in Nolan County on Thursday afternoon when a controlled burn became an uncontrolled burn. Two Sweetwater Fire Department trucks and the Trent Volunteer Fire Department tanker worked on the blaze with eight firemen working to extinguish the fire.

In the days before burn bans I can not recall massive fires like last summer. There were lots of little fires like this one that kept massive amounts of fuel from building up. I say not letting land owners burn leads to more destructive fires.
