Hampton Inn in Sweetwater is currently putting on a food drive in which employees, guests and members of the community are encouraged to donate nonperishable food items to the drive. All food collected will be donated and distributed by Nolan County United Way.
As an added incentive to donate to the cause, for every five cans donated to the drive, a raffle ticket will be placed in a drawing for a Jambox speaker.
According to General Manager Adrian Solano, the hotel is putting on the food drive as a part of Founders Day for the company, Hersha Hospitality.
Food will be collected until Friday, May 10. The drawing for the speaker will also take place that day.
