Harold Carey

Harold Carey, age 83, of Sweetwater, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 at Hendrick Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Garden of Memories with Joshuah Ellis officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Harold was born on May 13, 1930, in Harmony, Texas to E.T. and Dorothy Estelle (Bunch) Carey. He married Janice McDaniel on Nov. 9, 1953, in Lovington, New Mexico. He owned and operated B&H Refrigeration before retiring. He had been a resident of Sweetwater for over 50 years. He was a member of Avenue B Church of Christ and a U. S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Carey of Sweetwater; three daughters, Brenda Cox and husband Mike of Austin, Sandra Payne and husband Alan of Salado and Jana Stewart and husband Alex of Sweetwater; one son, Buddy Carey and wife Alyse of Granbury; nine grandchildren, Chad Tabers, Melanee Keleman, Michelle Stark, Chris Payne, Holly Mitchell, Lance Payne, Lauren Haney, Haylee Stewart and Lexie Stewart; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lola Faye Blythe of Meredian, Mississippi; one brother, Alford Carey of Roby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E.T. and Dorothy Carey, one brother and one sister.
