Harold Wayne Smith

Harold Wayne Smith, 55, of Sweetwater, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2011, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Big Spring.  Graveside services with Military Honors will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene.
He was born Aug. 31, 1956, in Sweetwater, Texas to Edna Ruth Mayhugh and Reuben E. Smith. He was a graduate of Sweetwater High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1975 until 1979. He was a self-employed construction worker. He had been a lifetime resident of Sweetwater and was a Lutheran.
He is survived by two sisters, Kathy Little and husband Gary of Cleburne and Barbara Blythe of Ft. Worth; one brother, Troy Schroedter of Abilene; a special niece, Tamara Martinez and other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, R. Edwin Smith.
