HERMLEIGH — Harvie Lee Davis, 92, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Fisher County Hospital. Services will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Hermleigh with Bro. Alan Culp officiating. Burial will follow at Hobbs Cemetery under the direction of Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made to weathersbeerayfh.com.
Born Dec. 23, 1919, in Fisher County, Harvie was a son of the late Sam and Mamie (Stephens) Davis. Harvie graduated from Roby High School and attended a junior college in Sacramento, CA.  He married Cleo (Henderson) on Nov. 23, 1944, in Roby. Harvie was a Chief Master Sergeant in the Air Force and lived many places throughout his career. He lived in Sacramento, CA for three years, Massachusetts, Rapid City South Dakota for over seven years and Turkey for over two years and numerous other places before moving back to Claytonville, Texas in 1970. After retiring from the Air Force Harvie farmed and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Harvie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hermleigh since 1973 where he taught Sunday school. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers (Alfred, Lawrence and Calvin Ray Davis); three sisters, (Ella May Hayes, Lois Cooper, and Annie Faye Rister); and one aunt (Annie Burk).
 Harvie is survived by his wife, Cleo of Rotan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Russell Gee of Arlington and Barbara and Leslie Wortman of Humble, TX; and two grandchildren, Christopher Gee and Tammy Wortman.
