Heart Walk raises over $14K

The Nolan County Heart Walk was held on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at the Sweetwater High School track. About 20 walkers raised a total of $4,244 for the event, bringing the grand total to $14,171 raised this year for the American Heart Association. The top four teams were Texas National Bank bringing in $1,381, Texas State Technical College bringing in $1,119, Sweetwater Healthcare Center bringing in $422 and Ludlum Measurements bringing in $375.
Corporate sponsors for the 2011 Nolan County Heart Walk were Buzzi Unicem. T-Shirt sponsors were Texas National Bank, First Financial Bank, Roscoe State Bank, Rolling Plains Rural Health Clinic, Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital, Ludlum Measurements, Big Country Electric Cooperative, Sweetwater Jaycees, Stanley Ford, and Lawrence Management. Mile marker sponsors were May & Hrbacek, LLP, Sweetwater Steel, Steve Mahaffey Construction, Sweetwater Spine Clinic, Cox Jewelers, Wind Energy Turbine Services (WETS), Sweetwater Firefighters #2943, Bennett and Associates, Harp Vending, Nu-Tone Cleaners, City Janitorial, Investment Centers of America and Richard Bowman, CPA.
