Tye Police Department Officer Chad Campbell arrested Anastasia Michelle Brown, 35, of Arlington, after the woman led law enforcement officers through a high speed chase on I-20 spanning three counties Wednesday evening.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. Brown, driving a black Honda Civic, led police on a chase through Abilene and Merkel and ended in Nolan County near mile marker 248, according to Nolan County Sheriff David Warren.
"The pursuit began in Callahan County and the driver reached speeds of 120 miles per hour during the chase," said Sheriff Warren.
She was finally apprehended by three NCSO deputies, James Villanueva, Angie Collier and Nick Hammer, according to Sheriff Warren. "The arresting officer ended up being from the Tye Police Department as they were involved in the pursuit along with the Taylor County Sheriff's Office."
Brown had a warrant from Tarrant County for burglary of a habitation. "We believe that is the reason she was running," stated Sheriff Warren.
