Highland football wraps up season tonight

Highland has decided to play its 2012 season finale one day early.
The Hornets (0-2, 5-4) were to host Hermleigh — which is also 0-2 in district and 2-7 in district — at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
However, the schools decided earlier this week to move the game up to today at the same time, and also play in Hermleigh. The Highland-Hermleigh jun-ior high game will also be played at 5:30 p.m.
Highland, which had a five-game winning streak until losing its last two, and Hermleigh were elim-inated from playoff consi-deration after losing this past week. Ira (2-0) and Rotan (2-0) will meet Friday to determine playoff seeding in Rotan.
