Highland finishes with win

After an oh-so-close loss last week, Highland ended its 2011 football season on Friday with a 48-33 victory over Hermleigh.
The Hornets rallied from a 14-6 deficit with a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter for a 20-14 halftime lead, and never trailed again as they finished 3-7 overall and 1-2 in District 6, Divi-sion I six-man play.
Steven Tester ran for 129 yards and scored five times, four on runs of 18, 26, 4 and 36 yards and also on a 49-yard kickoff return. Tyler Falcon ran for 125 yards and scored on a 26-yard run. Ron Covington scored on a 61-yard kickoff return, was 4-of-7 passing for 59 yards and recovered three fumbles. Shelby Howard caught two passes and Jordan Rowan and Garrett Stewart one. Tester had 11 solo tackles; Covington had eight solo tackles; Falcon had seven solo tackles and three assists; Shelby Howard had six solo tackles, two assists and a fumble recovery; Stewart and Peyton Howard had five solo tackles and one assist; Gaga Wibowo had four solo tackles; and Ethan Wilson had three solo tackles.
