Highland Heights United Methodist Church here in Sweetwater will host a community-wide event — the Second Annual Sweetwater's Got Talent Gospel Brunch.
The theme is a "gospel brunch" and all are invited to attend. It will be held on from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, in the fellowship hall of the church, located at 1801 Lamar Street. There will be no preaching nor a church service, just a good time to enjoy a good meal and share talents and a good time.
"We can't promise that any talent scouts may be present, but who knows," said organizers. "Folks have been discovered in all kinds of ways."
The church is contacting and inviting anyone who wants to come and share their talent — praise bands, garage bands, soloists, quartets, dancers, poetry readers, adult, youth and children's choirs, handbell choir, gospel singers, square dancers, skits...the list goes on and on.
Contact Highland Heights at 235-2454 to arrange a time to appear in the spotlight and mark your calendars to be present and have a good time.
