Highland High School's One-act play "The Fastest Woman Alive"

Highland High School's One-act play sf The Fastest Woman Alive advanced from District Competition on March 29.  The play by Karen Sunde is published by Dramatic Publishing and tells of the WASP (Women’s Air Corp Service Pilots) who were stationed in Sweetwater during WWll. The story highlights the accomplishments and heartaches of these brave women and of one of their primary leaders, Jackie Cochran.
Awards earned are as follows: Best Actress: Katy Fullwood, All-Star Cast: Preston Rowlett, Jessica McCain, and Megan Thompson. Honorable-Mention All-Star Cast:  Jordan Garza. All-Star Crew: Steven Johns. Best Technical Crew: Toby Falcon, Mitchel Taylor, Steven Johns, Laramie Thompson and Kaden Nachlinger. 
Area Contest was held April 8, at Howard College in Big Spring.
Other cast members include Steven Tester, Garrett Stewart, Tarin Weldy, Bailey Nervig, Sophie Stice, Morgan Monroe, Julia Tibbit, Sierra Allen and Schyler Kimbrell. Directors are Judy Etheredge and Lisa Fullwood.
