Highland OAP to perform tonight

Highland One-Act Play will present sf “The Crucible” by Arthur Miller, published by the Dramatists Play Service, to the public on Thursday, May 3, 2012. The show will begin at 7 p.m. in the Highland Activity Center. Admission will be $3 for adults and $1 for students.

On Thursday, May 3, 2012, Highland One-Act Play will present sf “The Crucible” by Arthur Miller, published by the Dramatists Play Service, to the public. The show will begin at 7 p.m. in the Highland Activity Center. Admission will be $3 for adults and $1 for students.
There will also be a drawing for a ladies Brighton watch that was graciously donated by Vickie’s Gifts in Roscoe. Chances are $2 each. 
This year, Highland’s performance of sf “The Crucible” started great at Zone on March 20, at Merkel. They advanced with Best Actor: Jordan Rowan; All-Star Cast: Preston Rowlett and Megan Thompson; Honorable Mention All-Star Cast: Jessica McCain and Sophia Stice; and Best Technical Crew: Tarin Weldy.
They advanced to District on April 4, 2012, at Bronte. Awards were Best Technical Crew: Tarin Weldy, Sheldon Hall, Morgan Monroe, Brandon Stevens and Addison Crain; Outstanding Crew Award: Morgan Monroe; All-Star Cast: Schyler Kimbrell and Jordan Rowan; Honorable Mention All-Star Cast: Jessica McCain and Kara Hughey; and Best Actor: Preston Rowlett.
Next they advanced to Area at Howard College on April 14, 2012. Awards for area were: Outstanding Stage Manager: Tarin Weldy; Honorable Mention All-Star Cast: Jessica McCain; and All-Star Cast: Jordan Rowan and Megan Thompson.
Highland advanced to the Regional competition at Clyde High School. Awards were Best Actress: Megan Thompson; Honorable Mention All-Star Cast: Jordan Rowan and Garrett Stewart; and Outstanding Stage Manager: Tarin Weldy.
Placing third in the Regional competition, Highland One-Act Play is an alternate for the State competition.
