Highland One Act Play to perform at Area

The Highland One Act Play has advanced to Area competition and will compete at the Area 2 Region II contest Saturday, April 13 at the Naoma Huff Performing Arts Center at Clyde High School.
The Highland cast of students is performing scenes from “All My Sons,” by Arthur Miller, published by Dramatists Play Service.
Their first contest, Zone, was held at Anson on March 21, where they were one of two plays advancing to District. Highland student Julia Tibbit took Best Actress honors and Preston Rowlett was selected as Best Actor. Brenden Huckabee made the All-Star Cast for Zone competition, while Alice Bell made All-Star Crew. Bailey Nervig and Garrett Stewart were named to the Honorable Mention All-Star Cast.
The District competition was held at Westbrook High School on March 28. Tibbit once again was named Best Actress while Rowlett was named to the All-Star Cast. Sophie Stice was selected for All-Star Crew while Nervig and Huckabee made the Honorable Mention All-Star Cast.
Other cast members include Eli Shelton, Morgan Monroe and Schyler Kimbrell. The rest of the crew include Lindsy Gonzales, Kristen Harris and Chance Adams. The Highland play directors are Dawn Huckabee, Lisa Fullwood and Judy Byrd.
