Hobbs Homecoming nears

Hobbs School and community will have their homecoming beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Hobbs School and community will have their homecoming beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20. There will be entertainment, a short business meeting, a time to recognize the classes, exes traveling the longest distance and memorials — all emceed by Hobbs ex "Doc" Hardin and the 2012 Hobbs exes president Jerry Trice.
A catered meal will be served at noon. There will be a choice of brisket or chicken and the cost os $10 per plate.
Efforts have been made to contact exes by e-mail and the postal service, but many exes have moved since the last meeting of 2010. For those who do not receive a letter in the mail, contact Pat Porter at 325-735-3337 with a correct address.
Hobbs is located north of the blinking light on Highway 180 on FM 1614, just off FM 611.
