Home invasion pays off

Brookshire’s Food and Pharmacy stores recently brought back the Food Club Frenzy to give customers a chance to win $500 and a new Chevrolet Camaro valued at approximately $40,000.Beginning Jan. 4, when customers purchased five Food Club items in a single transaction, they earned a chance to win. Customers simply filled out the entry form on the bottom of their qualifying shopping receipt and dropped it in their store’s entry box. One winner per store was to be randomly drawn to have the “Frenzy Patrol” visit their home, and win $50 for each Food Club item in their home—up to $500. If the patrol were to find 20 Food Club items the customer would then be entered to win the new car.On Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, the Sweetwater Brookshire's Frenzy Patrol visited the home of Mark and Jo Anna Wofford, after Mark's names was drawn that morning at the store. Store Director Charlie Peek, along with Richard Bixler and Geraldine Farley, raided the Wofford's pantries and refrigerator to find as many Food Club items possible. Jo Anna was pleasantly surprised when she found out that she had won a $500 Brookshire's gift card and a chance to be entered into the drawing for the new Camaro, when the Frenzy Patrol found over 20 Food Club items in her home.On March 7, one additional customer will be randomly selected to have a chance to win the new Camaro.
