Hunt running for District Clerk

November 8, 2013

Jerry Hunt

Jerry Hunt recently announced her candidacy for the office of District Clerk. A longtime resident of Nolan County, she has over ten years' experience working with local attorneys. The last fourteen years have been spent as the assistant to Judge Tim Fambrough and the Commissioners' Court. As a result, she has a unique understanding of the work of the District Clerk's office, its place in the legal system, and the courthouse.
As the assistant to the County Judge, Ms. Hunt has been involved in the county budget process, has helped members of the public find their way to the correct office to answer their needs, and has assisted citizens with notary issues. She handles most of the insurance, workers' compensation, and other human relations issues for the county.
Ms. Hunt believes that twenty-four years of service to the legal profession puts her in a unique position to continue her service as District Clerk. She looks forward to the opportunity to work with the Commissioners' Court to implement the newly-mandated e-filing and to expand on the tradition of excellence in the District Clerk's Office.
