Sweetwater-Nolan County Health Department (SNCHD), located at 301 E.12th, will have their annual immunization fun day event on Wednesday, July 11 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-6 p.m. This is a normal day for immunization clinic but the health department has set this day to emphasize the importance of making sure your child’s immunizations are up-to-date.
The health department plans to make it a special day for the children; each child receiving immunizations will receive rewards. Also, parents will have a chance to win a $50 gas card. There will be a drawing after the morning clinic and one at the end of clinic. You do not have to be present to win.
Parents are asked to bring their child’s immunization records to the immunization clinic. Buzzy the Bee, the immunization mascot, will be at the health department to greet the kids between 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Children with private health insurance need to be vaccinated by their physician unless private insurance does not pay for vaccines, then the child can be vaccinated at the health department. There is a $6 administration fee per a child. Medicaid and CHIPS are accepted.
The health department was closed on Wednesday, July 4 for Independence Day, so the next clinic will be July 11 which is Immunization Fun Day.
