Memorial services for Imogene Thomas Carter, 92, of Sweetwater, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church in Sweetwater with Rev. Earl Stewart officiating. Interment will be at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Carter died April 18, 2011, at her home.
She was born Nov.15, 1918, in Fancy Farm, Ken. She married Dan W. Carter in December of 1945 in Mississippi. Imogene moved to Sweetwater in February of 2011 from California. She and her family had live in El Paso and Las Vegas in the past. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Dan W. Carter, Sr. of Sweetwater and son, Dan W. Carter, Jr. of Sweetwater.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Clara M. Thomas.
