Holy Mass of Christian Burial for James Daniel Lujan, 31, of Mexia, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2012, at McCoy Chapel of Memories.
Lujan died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck, Texas.
He was born March 29, 1980, in Sweetwater. He married Sandra Figueroa in 2011. James was a Sonic Drive-In franchise owner in Mexia, Texas and started working for the company at age 16. He had lived in Mexia for 11 years moving from Sweetwater. He attended Sweetwater schools and was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Figueroa of Mexia, Texas; parents, Danny and Ofelia Lujan of Sweetwater; brothers, Manuel Lujan of Forth Worth, Texas, Chad Lujan of Sweetwater and Roy Cantu, Jr. of Killeen, Texas; maternal grandmother, Maria Vargas of Abilene, Texas; maternal great-grandmother, Simmona Castro of Abilene, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Chad Lujan, Roy Cantu, Jr., Pat Lujan, Bucky Lujan, Joe David Lujan, Steve Lujan, Cenobio Gutierrez and Julian Rangel.
