James Earnest Toland, Sr.

James Earnest Toland, Sr., 63, of Caddo Mills, died Monday morning, Feb. 21, 2011.
James was born July 25, 1947, to Earnest and Leta Faye Toland in Abilene, Texas. He had retired as a senior manager for Honeywell in Richardson, Texas. James proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War in Korea and Taiwan. He also served as a State Trooper in Maryland and as Police Chief in Haskell, Texas.
He is survived by his sons, James Toland, Jr. of McKinney and Ronnie Toland of San Diego, Calif.; daughters, Patricia Richard of Clyde and Sarah Richards of Abilene; sisters and brother-in-law, Marilyn and John McGill of Caddo Mills and Marion Teague of Sweetwater; grandchildren, Kelly, Kim, Joshua and Evan; and great-grandchildren, Dicey, Parren, Phoenix, Phillip and Matthew.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011. Funeral services will be held at Lynch Funeral Home Chapel in Caddo Mills at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, with Joy Coker officiating. Interment service will be held at the IOOF Cemetery in Caddo Mills.
