James Harry Jenkins, 86, of Roscoe, Texas passed away on December 12, 2010, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater, Texas.
He was born July 29, 1924 in Bonham, Texas. He married Mable Ward in 1972, in Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Mildred, in 1970, second wife, Mable, on Oct. 28, 2009, a daughter, Betty Jane Gerber and his brothers, David, Paul and Robert.
Survivors include his son George Jenkins and wife Edna of Roscoe, Ronnie Jenkins of Hereford, Texas; daughter, Linda Heyd and husband Don of Blackwell, Oklahoma; step-daughter, Kathy Bollinger and husband Todd of Roscoe, step-son Ted Vrubel and wife Alicia of Roscoe, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, sisters Barbara Franklin of Colorado and Evelyn Ellison of Amherst, Texas.
Jenkins had lived in Roscoe since 1979 and drove for Freeman Trucking Co., for many years. He was Methodist and an Army Air Corp. veteran.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 at Littlefield Memorial Park in Littlefield, Texas, with Tracy Spencer officiating.
Pallbearers will be family members.
Services are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home, in Sweetwater.
