Funeral services for James Hugh Ince, 84, of Roscoe, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, at Roscoe Church of Christ with Larry Fluitt and Royce Clay officiating. Interment will follow at Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 3 2011, at McCoy Funeral Home in Roscoe.Ince died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at Sweetwater Healthcare Center.He was born Sept. 1, 1926, in Pyron, Texas. He married Blanche Hagood Sept. 21, 1946, in Snyder. James lived in the Roscoe area most of his life and was a farmer. He also had the Plowboy Barber Shop in Roscoe for many years and also the Cardinal Barber Shop in Hermleigh. He had been a member of the Lions Club in Roscoe and Hermleigh. James was a WWII Navy veteran and was a Mason. He has served as an Elder in the Church of Christ in Roscoe, Hermleigh and Lamar Street Church of Christ in Sweetwater.Survivors include his son, Tim Ince and wife Belinda of Roscoe; daughters, Charlotte Griffith and husband Tom of Roscoe and Gloria Myers and husband Ray of Snyder; grandchildren, Heath Ince and wife Jaime of Sweetwater, Douglas Ince and wife Serena of Run Away Bay, Texas, Jarud Griffith and wife Abbie of Westminster, Colo.; Heather Harrison and husband Tim of Bryan, Thad Myers and wife Becky of Grand Prairie, Misty Gebbia and husband Andrew of Irving and Melissa Loveless and husband Ryan of Frisco, Texas; great-grandchildren, Miranda, Makenna and Micah Myers, Kelton, Kiptyn and Karomy Loveless, Makenzie, Emma and Samuel Ince, Emery Harrison, Luke and Eli Griffith.He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche on Feb. 10, 1998; his parents, Charlie and Ruby Ince; sister, Effie Ola Mae; and brother, Charles Garrett Ince.Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Heath Ince, Douglas Ince, Jarud Griffith, Thad Myers, Heather Harrison, Misty Gebbia and Melissa Loveless.Honorary pallbearers will be Keith and Stan Hackfeld, Shane Parker, Danny Soules, Joel and Mark Hagood, Rex Glass, Ignacio Castillo, Jay Soules, Pat Fitzgerald and Wayne Hagood.Memorials may be made to Medina Children's Home, 213000 Highway 16 North, Medina, TX 78055 or to one's favorite charity.
