James (Jaime) Vasquez, age 55, of Sweetwater, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel, recited by Lupe Medellin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home with Deacon Bill Butler officiating.
Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
James was born on March 18, 1958 in Sweetwater. He graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1978 and also he graduated from cosmetology college. He worked as a beautician for many years. He was a Catholic.
He is survived by his mother, Petra Adames of Sweetwater; brother, Manuel Adames, Jr. and wife Dawn of San Angelo; sister, Jo Ann Villesca and husband Mundy of Fort Stockton; nieces and nephews, Manuel Adames, III, Echo Adames, Mundy Villesca, Jr., David Villesca, Kresa Castillo and husband Carlos; great-nieces and nephews, Dezirae Adames, Memphiz Solis and Krista Castillo; grandmother, Juanita Vasquez of
Sweetwater; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Adames, Sr.; nephew, Joe L. Adames; and niece, Zoie Adames.
Pallbearers will be David Villesca, Ray Adames, Ricky Castro, Benny Adames, Albert Solis and Martin Soto.
