James William Bailey

James William Bailey, 61 left this world peacefully at 6:10 a.m. on Jan. 13, 2012, carried away by angels and looking forward to seeing his Father, babies and Dad and Mom who were waiting for him. He was surrounded by his adoring family.
James was a loving husband to his surviving wife, Brenda. They were childhood sweethearts, who were married on June 1, 1967 in Sweetwater and were inseparable still 45 years later.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Bennett and husband Dewey of Blackwell and Susan Pope of Sweetwater; a son-in-law, Gary Dunlap; honorary brother and sister, Darren and Carol Hardin of Sweetwater; his twelve grandbabies, Kala, Josh, Waylon, Gary, Wesley, Aimee, Jimmy, Jordan, Erica, Emily, Dakota and Sara; three great-grandbabies, Tanna, Natalie and “baby goober”. He has six siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was Daddy, Husband, Poppa, Brother, Brother-in-law, Uncle and Friend extraordinaire to all who knew him. He will be GREATLY missed. He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy “Boss”; his daughter, Patsy Dunlap; parents, James A. and Una Bailey; and three siblings.
No services are planned at this time, Mr. Bailey was cremated. McCoy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will be at 606 Bluff Street in Sweetwater.
