Graveside services for Janie Lou Reynolds, 67, of Sweetwater, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Abilene Municipal Cemetery. Rev. Ward Hayes will officiate and interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012 at McCoy Funeral Home.
Reynolds died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at her residence.
She was born March 30, 1945, on Carlsbad, N.M. She married William Glen Reynolds on Nov. 22, 1960 in Albuquerque, N.M. Janie loved being outdoors, from camping to being by the water. She had such an extraordinary love for all cats, raising wild cats such as cougars, mountain lions and bobcats, to household cats. Janie also worked as a caregiver for the elderly. She had such a kind and giving heart which gave her love to care for others.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn Reynolds of Sweetwater; sons, Donald Reynolds and wife Pam of Sweetwater and David Lynn Reynolds of Raeford, NC; granddaughters, Kristine Reynolds of Raeford, NC, Victoria Reynolds of Raeford, NC and Keri Reynolds of Sweetwater; grandson, Jason Reynolds of Sweetwater; sister, Martha Jo McMillin and husband Arthur of Taft, TX; and sister-in-law, Kaye Humphreys of Midland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, A.E. and Murlee Roberts Birdwell; and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Reynolds.
