Jewel F. Campbell, age 90, of Sweetwater, Texas passed away on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at Nolan Nursing and Rehab.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Robert Squires officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Jewel was born Feb. 14, 1921, in Bartlett, Texas to John and Hulda (Hightower) Stone. She married C.H. Campbell on Aug. 26, 1939, in Roby, Texas. She was a Baptist. She worked as a waitress for many restaurants including Waffle Shop, and Jordan’s.
She is survived by her son, Clovis Campbell and wife Carolyn of Sweetwater, Texas; six grandchildren, Matt Campbell, Melissa Campbell, Craig Campbell, Lisa Squires, Leanne Hubert and Lori Cook; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hulda Stone; her husband, C.H. Campbell; daughter, Sharon Hart; five sisters; and two brothers.
