Joe Bentle

Joe Bentle, 50, of Sweetwater passed away from a massive heart attack on Thursday, June 26, 2014, in Sweetwater. He was born Oct. 18, 1963 in Loraine and was a life-long resident of Sweetwater. He worked many years as a technician at Ludlum Measurements. Joe had a big heart and loved sharing the word of God and helping anyone in need. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Sweet Water Emmaus Community.
Survivors include his wife, Jana Blanchard Bentle; daughter, Jordan Bentle of Sweetwater; son, Jace Bentle of College Station; sisters, Paula Huckabee and husband Bill, Kathy Rosson and husband Tommy of Sweetwater, Robin Bentle of Lubbock, Tammy Dickson and husband Heath of Roby; sister-in-law, Mildred Bentle of Maryneal; brother-in-law, Brent Blanchard of Sweetwater; nieces, Dawn Huckabee and sons Brenden Huckabee and Blake Ballenger, all of Sweetwater, Lori Falcon and husband, Noe and sons Tyler, Toby and Truett of Maryneal; nephews, T.J. Rosson and wife Haley, of Guthrie, Okla., Jarod Rosson of San Marcus, Christopher Rieger and wife Leah of Lubbock, Jon Murphy of Lubbock, Holten Dickson of Roby and Jeremy Diaz and wife Sandy, and daughter Sara Diaz of Corinth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Vonnie Bentle; brother, Bobby Jack Bentle; niece, Brittany Rieger; and nephew, Hayden Dickson; grandparents, Marvin Botha and Anna Lee Bentle and John and Nora Sutterfield; and father-in-law and mother-in law, Jack and Pam Blanchard.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Edwards officiating. His wishes were to be cremated and inter his ashes in the family plot at Blackwell Cemetery at a later date. All services are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A reception and visitation will follow after services in the fellowship hall.
