John Grady Whitworth

Memorial services for John Grady Whitworth, 66, of Fisher County, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Reverend Frankie Santiago officiating.
Whitworth died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013 at his home.
He was born Feb. 26, 1947 in Sweetwater. He married Kay Bunn on Nov. 19, 1967.
John was a lifelong resident of Fisher County and was a farmer and rancher. In 1966, he attended the Jim Shoulders Bronc Riding School. He was a member of the National Fur Trappers Association and the Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. There was not a deer, coyote or hog that John could not track and tell you how big that animal was.
Survivors include his daughters, Kristi Holland and Blu of Blackwell, Lolly Roland and Larry of Blackwell, Trudi Whitworth of Santa Rosa, CA, and Sabrina Whitworth and Garvin of Clyde; grandsons, Dakota, Mason, Justin, Tyler and Jaden; great-grandson, Patton Alexander Woods; mother, Jean Whitworth of Roby; sisters, Betty Ross and husband Jim and Nancy Whitworth; wife, Kay Whitworth of Sweetwater; and father-in-law, H.D. Bunn.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Whitworth; mother-in-law, Deloris Bunn; and grandson, Jeffrey Woods.
