Graveside services for Johnny Orsak, 81, of Sweetwater, will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Roscoe Cemetery with Rev. Chris Stephens officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Orsak died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Nolan Nursing and Rehab in Sweetwater.
He was born Sept. 10, 1931, in Roscoe. He married Betty Mikac on Dec. 14, 1974, in Colorado City. Johnny came to the Roscoe-Sweetwater area in 1937 and was a retired crane operator for Lone Star Industries, retiring in 1992. He loved to fish, work with metal and grow his vegetable garden. Johnny was a Lutheran.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Betty Orsak of Sweetwater; his son, Billy Orsak of Sweetwater; and a nephew and niece who he raised like his own, Terry Carrick of Trophy Club, Texas and Shannon Murphy of Bells, Texas; as well as several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Orsak on July 4, 1979, and Lillie Zmeskel Orsak July 20, 2005.
