Judith Carol Hanna

My sister Judy, 69, passed away Dec. 24, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, TX. As my grandson Andrew said, she was just in time to share a birthday cake with JESUS. She was born in Tulsa, Okla. on Aug. 6, 1944, to her parents Floyd and Armilla Wilson. She lived most of her life in Texas. She is survived by a son, Jody Hanna of California and daughters Veronica Hanna of Oklahoma and Sabrina McMillan of Texas. She had six grandchildren and sisters, Barbara Martin of Sweetwater and Alice Smith and husband Ron of Lubbock; brothers, Ronny Riggs and wife Annette of Post, Pete Riggs and wife Sandy of Levelland and Clifton Riggs and wife Cynthia of Lubbock. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, Charles Martin, Jr. and wife Trish of Sweetwater, Brenda Ramey and husband Keith of Sweetwater, Andrew and Abbie Ramey of Sweetwater, Danica Gonzales and husband Herman of Lubbock, Ryan Gonzales and Jordan Gryder of Lubbock, Carisse Tillery and her grandson Mario of Lubbock, Pam Cormier and husband Mike, Pat Reinke and husband Doug, Kim Botello and husband Tom; cousin, Sue King of Oklahoma; special friends, Hank Waldrop, Larry Williams, Joan Brazell and Rodd Wheeler, all of Sweetwater; and her Constant Companion, “Shrek” her dog. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Wilson; her mother, Armillia Riggs; step father, Cliff Riggs; sister, Linda Lee Brown; and brother, Benny Ray Wilson.She was cremated per her wishes. A special memorial service will be held at Fourth and Elm Church of Christ in celebration of Judy’s life at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014.
