Kenneth B. Ellis

Kenneth B. Ellis, age 59, of Trent, Texas passed away March 27, 2011, at his residence with his loved ones around him.   
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Lamar Street Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home. 
Kenneth was born Nov. 12, 1951, to J.B. and Clara Mae (Foust) Ellis. He was a Baptist. He worked as a pumper at City of Sweetwater and was a steer roper for many years. He loved to gather cattle from the pasture, listen to music, and play with his grandkids.  He was a lifetime resident of Sweetwater. 
He is survived by two daughters, Terri Kay Powers and husband Michael of Seagraves, TX; and Brandy Huie and husband Kelly of Merkel, TX; Love of his life, Sherline Davis of Trent, Texas; two step sons, Adam and Ellick (Alex) Davis; 11 grandchildren; four brothers, Bill Ellis and wife Nancy; Jimmy Ellis and wife Bobbie; John Ellis and wife Sharon and David Ellis and wife Carmella; two sisters, Edwina Clowers; and Linda Easa and husband Danny; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 
He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, J.B. and Clara Ellis; and sister, Roberta Harroll. 
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 28, 2011 from 6-7:30 p.m.
