Kenneth L. “Coach” Dismuke

Kenneth L. “Coach” Dismuke, 85, of Uvalde, passed away July 18, 2012. He was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Plava, Texas to the late Luther Jackson and Mary F. Love Dismuke. Kenneth was a coach and teacher retiring from Southwest Texas Junior College and a member of The First United Methodist Church of Uvalde.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Debbie Horton and husband Bob of Victoria; a sister, Juanita Shields of Owasso, Okla.; two grandchildren, Lindi Horton, Cody Horton and wife, Bianca; and two great-grandchildren, Haley Horton and Carly Jo Horton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Johnie McDonald Dismuke; and a son, Towner Dismuke.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012 at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
