Funeral services for Kevin Dale Allen, 38, of Godley, TX, formerly of Roscoe, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Roscoe Church of Christ with Royce Clay and Dan Boren officiating. Interment will follow at Champion Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Allen died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, in Abilene, TX.
He was born Aug. 11, 1973, in Sweetwater. He married Amanda Jayne Ringenberg on March 27, 2006, in Las Vegas, NV. Kevin grew up in the Roscoe area and was a graduate of Highland High School. He attended San Angelo State University and the University of Texas at Arlington. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada for five years, Florida for two years and Godley, Texas the past two years. He grew up in the Church of Christ and was baptized at the age of 15. Kevin currently attended Cross Roads Church in Godley, Texas. He was the owner of Christ First Transportation Co. in Godley.
Survivors include is wife, Amanda Jayne Allen of Godley, TX; parents, Marna & Johnny Allen of Roscoe; brother, Brent Allen & wife Michelle of Roscoe, TX; sister, Angela Allen of Sweetwater, TX; nephew, Jason Allen of Sweetwater, TX; and nieces, Sierra, Hannah, Karlie and Taylor Allen of Roscoe, Texas.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Gracen May Allen in December of 2008.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Law, Kip Edington, Darrell Sorrells, Eric Sorrells, Keaton Hillis and Shane Summerlin. Honorary pallbearers are Cody Muncy, Al Miller Jr. and Greg Wright.
