Kiwanis Club holds pancake supper

The Kiwanis Club of Sweetwater recently hosted their largest annual fundraiser, the Pancake Supper, on Friday night, Oct. 14, 2011. Before the Sweetwater Mustangs took on the Big Spring Steers that night, the Sweetwater High School cafeteria was filled with area residents enjoying a late-day breakfast. The pancake supper has always been a success in the past due in part to the incredible collaborative efforts between Kiwanis members, local sponsors and even support from outside of the city. The IHOP (International House of Pancakes) restaurant in Abilene was the major sponsor of the event along with Fuller Foods in Colorado City. IHOP provided the pancake batter mix and syrup, while Fuller Foods provided ham and bacon. Brookshire’s also donated to the supper with a $50 gift card.
