Kiwanis Club to host co-ed softball tourney

The Kiwanis Club of Sweetwater will hold its first annual Home Runs vs. Hunger co-ed softball tournament on Nov. 2, 2013.
The entry fee is $125 per team. Teams must consist of at least 10 players, with a minimum of three ladies on the field. There will be unlimited substitutions and teams may bat 11.
Three home runs will be allowed per game and additional home runs can be bought for $5 each. A maximum of three home runs can be purchased.
Pitching rules will be 6-10 arc (from ground), with no quick pitch or no fake pitch. Men will use a standard ASA, USSSA-approved 31" bat, while ladies can use any bat. Balls will be furnished by the tournament host.
