Kiwanis Club to host first annual Family Fun Co-Ed Softball Tournament

The Kiwanis Club of Sweetwater will be holding its first annual Family Fun Co-Ed Softball Tournament on Saturday, August 3.
The tournament will be a round robin followed by single elimination, with a guarantee of four games. The tournament will be limited to eight teams divided into two divisions.
The first division will include 4 competitive teams (league or tournament teams). This division will allow for unlimited home runs, with each home run hit costing $1, and there will not be a run rule implemented per inning.
The second division will consist of 4 less competitive, or "just for fun" teams. Home runs will be counted as singles, with a 7 run rule per inning.
In the round robin, both divisions will have a one-hour, drop-dead time limit. In addition, the game will end if there are 15 runs after 3 innings or 10 runs after 5 innings.
Teams must have five guys and five girls on the field, but are allowed free substitutions. Entry fee per team is $125--which includes game balls provided by Kiwanis--and is limited to the first eight teams to enter.
A prize will be awarded for the first place team in each division. Concessions will be provided throughout the day as well.
