Two more members were accepted into the Sweetwater Kiwanis Club.
Nathan Hartkopf and Renee Garcia were inducted as new members on the Wednesday, Nov. 3 meeting.
After the new member induction, Joshuah Ellis presented the program. Ellis is a photographer that moved to Sweetwater in April 2009. He serves as preacher for Avenue B Church of Christ. He took up photography as a hobby, but recently opened his own photography business. He is available for family, children, wedding and engagement photo shoots.
"My motto is out of the studio and into the world," Ellis said. "God's backdrop is better than any that you could ever buy."
Ellis said that it's all about making the session fun, especially for the kids. Everyone has seen the standard posed photographs, but it's the ones that aren't staged and capture moments of life that people remember.
"It's the all out belly laugh and pointing," Ellis said. "It's those pictures that people remember. It's those pictures that represent who someone really is."
Currently, he is running a Christmas card special. If you are interested in finding out more information about Ellis' photography visit his web site at www.joshuahellisphotography.com.
The Kiwanis meet every Wednesday, at noon at Bee's DĂ©cor.
